Most of our oceanfront rentals come equipped with bath towels for indoor use. For beach gear, it can vary by property. Some owners generously provide beach towels, chairs, or even boogie boards, while others do not. We recommend checking the specific listing or asking us directly to see what's included for your beach days.
How easy is it to get to San Diego Zoo or Balboa Park from an oceanfront spot?

Very easy! While you'll be right on the beach, San Diego's major attractions like the San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, SeaWorld, and the Gaslamp Quarter are all just a short drive away. Oceanfront areas like Mission Beach and Pacific Beach offer good freeway access, making it convenient to explore the entire city.
Is there a best time of year to visit an oceanfront rental if we want calmer waters for swimming?

For the warmest water and generally calmer ocean conditions, the late summer and early fall months (roughly August through October) are usually ideal. The famous 'June Gloom' in early summer can bring cloudy mornings, but it often burns off for sunny afternoons.
