Classic Charm, Modern Style
The first thing you will notice when walking inside your San Diego condo for the first time is the charm in your surroundings. Artwork invites you to venture further in, exploring the talents of what are probably local artists. Furnishings, while stylish and modern, encourage you to sink into their plush depths and just relax. Feeling at home while far from your own home is another important part of a vacation experience and not every company understands that in the way we do.
As a matter of fact, we put extra thought into how soft the sofa in the living room is, putting comfort first and then choosing style after. Our living rooms are designed to be lived in, and as you watch the Oscars on a Sunday night in February (or March), read the book you have been carrying with you on a Tuesday morning, or fall asleep watching the big game on Monday Night Football, you may be surprised at how comfy and at home you feel.
Family Matters
Families come in all shapes and sizes, so just because you are looking at condos, it doesn’t mean this won’t be a family vacation. Our condos also come in a variety of sizes, ranging from cozy studios to spacious 2 bedrooms, and the larger condos offer room for as many as 6 travelers. And because family matters, the spaces you will call home during your San Diego adventures will provide the backdrop for many of your most cherished family memories.
Plan a movie night and stay in with fresh popped popcorn, your favorite beverages, and a Disney marathon on Smart televisions that enable you to stream all the shows you love to watch at home. Create family meals in kitchens that are equipped with high-end appliances (including dishwashers) that help make meal prep fun and then gather around the dining tables, located steps away, for another night of family fun and adventure. The dining areas are often the center of all family activities, and after the dishes have been cleared away, it can be time to bring out the board games and show your children the wonders of living life unplugged.
Private Moments Are Important
You love the people with whom you are traveling with all your heart, but spending every minute of the day with them can get a bit trying, making the private areas of our condos important to your sanity. Of course, you can crawl into bed between your twin toddlers, each wiggly body snuggling up against each shoulder as you read their favorite books, but when their eyelids flutter shut, the next moments are all for you.
Primary suites with attached baths can be your salvation, especially when that bath offers a deep tub just waiting for you to soak, sip, and savor the peace and quiet before your own eyelids begin to feel heavy. Bring that book with you or the tablet you rarely get to play on, and stream soft music from your phone, sliding into aromatic waters with a glass of wine in hand, ready to experience a little peace after a long day of noise and excitement.
Don’t Leave Your Fur Children Behind
Our dogs, our fur babies, are the most loyal and loving of our family members, but they are often treated as an afterthought, left behind to be regarded as another chore for the person who is watching our house, watering our plants, and taking in the mail. We Californians, however, love animals of all kinds, and because many of our San Diego condos may be pet friendly, you are invited to bring sweet Zoe along for the ride.
There are quite a few dog-friendly beaches in the area, including Coronado Dog Beach and the Original Dog Beach in Ocean Beach, and if the restaurant you are frequenting offers a patio, most likely it will be dog friendly as well. Balboa Park, one of the largest urban parks in the world, invites you to bring your leashed pup to explore walking trails, gardens, and two areas where they can play unleashed, El Prado on the south side of Cabrillo Bridge, and Morley Field.
Community Amenities
Condos may be smaller than most standalone homes, but they also offer a large number of community amenities that may just encourage you to take at least one day to play “at home.” Frolicking in a crystal-clear pool with your kids or lying on the lounge chairs that surround the pool, frosty drink in hand and sun shining down on your sun-starved body may end up being the most cherished of memories. Soaking in the community hot tub with your favorite traveling partner, feeling the jets hit all the muscles just right and enjoying the sense of lethargy that takes over your body.
Or after a day spent with a fishing pole in hand, grilling the catch of the day in the community barbecue area, and devouring your fresh fish on tables that may provide umbrellas to guard against the brightness of the California sun may be the only way you want to spend an evening. Some communities may even offer fitness rooms equipped with gym quality equipment, enabling you to keep up with your workout routine, something that many of our guests surprise us by enjoying!
Close to What Makes San Diego Special
There is always something going on in San Diego, and when you choose one of our condos, you are sure to be located close to whatever may excite you most, including the Gaslamp Quarter, sure to become your favorite part of town. The Gaslamp Quarter is a historic area in downtown San Diego known for its lively nightlife, delicious restaurants, and its interactive fountain.
Guests staying in or near this part of town may enjoy a summer baseball game at Petco Park, home to the San Diego Padres, or they may prefer the fun atmosphere and dueling pianos at the Shout House, located at 655 Fourth Avenue. The Gaslamp Quarter Historical Foundation offers walking tours and ghost tours of the area, satisfying your need for historical information and chilling adventures. And if we had to recommend one restaurant only, we would suggest Karina’s Cantina, located at 755 5th Avenue and offering the best Mexican food in town!
