We at Penny Vacation Rentals want our website to be helpful to you as you begin planning your San Diego vacation. The following information provides the basics. If you have a specific question, please call Penny Vacation Rentals at (800) 748-6704. We are open Monday through Friday from 8:30AM until 5:30PM and Saturday 9:00AM until 5:00PM. Our agents would be happy to help you with additional information.

Check In/Out Info

Check out time is 10:00am. Check in time is 3:00pm. It is necessary to strictly enforce both times to allow cleaning and minor maintenance to be done between vacationers. If flight schedules, etc. necessitate check in after the Penny Realty office closes (5:30pm weekdays and 5:00pm weekends), special arrangements can be made with your agent for obtaining keys.

General Information

  • All summer bookings run Saturday to Saturday. In the off season, units may be booked any day of the week with a minimum of three days. If you need to check in on a day our office is closed, we can make special arrangements to accommodate you.
  • Most vacation units have a no pet policy. A few specified properties do allow pets. Please ask your vacation rental agent for details.
  • Most homes at the beach in San Diego do not have air conditioning. Air conditioning is only available on select properties.
  • All vacation units are non-smoking and some properties restrict smoking in the common areas as well.
  • Telephones in units do have long distance blocks.
  • Parking spaces/garages in beach units are often small. If you can only bring a large vehicle, please check with an agent for parking information at specific units when you are selecting a vacation rental.

The calculator provided in the booking section of this site will help you estimate the cost of your vacation. The exact cost will be determined with your vacation agent in the contract and confirmation process. To confirm your booking, a holding deposit of 25% of the total booking will be required.
